Marnin everyone! I'm hard at it already this day and about to commence making beads. I'm jumping on the Pandora?Troll/Biagi bandwagon and am about to spring for a tool to line my beads with sterling cores for the bracelets! yipeee skippeee.

I bought one of the bracelets yesterday to do with my latest troll bead, which I need to shoot and put up for sale.

Don't get on here much when your days are busy buying toilet and sink, buying MORE cement and cooking because Ted has been super busy. Someone ordered several sets of coasters from him and then never picked them up. He had them ready so when he knew she left the island he just put them in his shop and got more than what he was going to charge her, so that was nice. So YES he is back to braiding but still having a bad time of it because he tends to overdo.

The Observer West has a pic on page 3 of a woman that had her home mashed down by the government and she was on there legally. It happened above us in Whitehall Phase 3. We went up to see what damage the government did and it just makes you sick to your stomach. One house was a concrete home. He was also legally there. Ted told me they mashed down some homes in Phase 1 and 2 that had been paying on their places. I don't know how it gets so messed up when it comes to the Housing areas. Although they did lose our file and we are STILL waiting on title now for over 3 years.

Weather continues to be cool, windy and nice. Work is coming on nicely with our little studio accomodations above our carport. It will be a 1 bed place with a small kitchen, seating area to watch the sea, small bathroom and a small veranda. Just right for someone who wants to chill out in the hills and enjoy the scenery.

Afternoon all! Roots, paint the picture...it is very moody and melancholy isn't it! Glad you like it Marilyn..There was absolutely no wind, and dead silence except for the sound of tiny dog feet in the snow and their breath.

Well! The excitement is here! What I've been waiting for since the July announcement that Newton is running in Iditarod! OK, since not everyone is a sports fan I have a thread in the Sports section about the race which begins on Saturday. There are links to how you can get updates in facebook and on twitter and of course, I will post some. I'm probably gonna pay the bucks to become an insider this year, get gps tracking and everything!

But how can you not love this!



Anyway, that's what I'm gonna spend almost every waking moment doing starting Saturday!

I'm tellin ya...a man in a parka like that does it for me every time. I'm not much for the bikini clad, speedo or whatever the heck they call it. I love that photo! It's from USA Today yesterday.

Newton is running Lance Mackey's dogs...the lead dog Newton is using has won at least 3 Iditarods with Lance if I remember right...so watch whatta gwan! He ain't just up there playin around in the snow, know what I mean?
